Berger is an experienced attorney, who has participated in numerous high profile litigations and investigations for top law firms in New York City and Washington DC. He has an extensive background in securities law and regulatory proceedings, including successfully defending prominent hedge funds in white collar matters. Most recently he served as the Senior Policy and Litigation Adviser to New York City Public Advocate, Bill de Blasio – the City’s second highest elected official.  Earlier, as Vice President of a top-tier Washington DC Public Affairs firm, Berger managed client projects in the financial, telecommunications, defense, entertainment and aerospace industries, among others. He is a veteran of multiple presidential and senatorial campaigns, including serving as a senior policy adviser and opposition researcher for Senator Jeff Merkley’s winning 2008 Oregon Senate race. Additionally, Berger has spent significant time living and working outside the United States including in China, Germany, Austria, the UK and Hungary and regularly conducts business in multiple languages. Berger currently resides in New York City’s Financial District.
