Six decades of high energy living fueled by an appetite for the “interesting” has led Jeff Clark through a variety of experiences. In all of his roles, Clark insists he’s actually performed the same job – common sense problem solver with a strategic perspective based on strong skills in communication and technology, developed through a world class education.

His professional career began in finance and accounting, where he quickly worked his way up to Vice-President and Treasurer of a small, diverse conglomeration of eight firms. He then spent nearly a decade in leadership positions in the world of religion (teaching, innovating, and publishing a leading monthly magazine) before stepping into parallel paths of consultancy and education. He’s applied his skills in banking (where he also served as an interim bank CEO), manufacturing (including Owens-Corning, G. D. Searle, USX), entertainment, law, higher education, and politics (over two decades of state-wide and national experience, including the founding leadership team of Barack Obama’s successful U.S. Senate campaign).

He is an Advisory Board Distinguished Professor and Director of IT Graduate Studies in the College of Business at Middle Tennessee State University. His years of service as a Visiting Professor at the Institut d’ Administration des Entreprises, Centre Franco-Americain de Management International, Université de Caen in Caen, France are reflective of his global perspective on world affairs. He is also the Executive Director of MBAA International, a major academic organization of more than 1,000 business school professors.

His academic preparation includes business strategy, accounting, industrial engineering, journalism, policy, religion, law, and education administration culminating with his Ph.D. from Northwestern University, with a major in information technology and minors in strategy and labor policy. He also holds MBA, D.Min., M.A., and B.A. degrees.

Clark lives in the Nashville, TN area with his wife, Carol Clark, Ph.D, and their son Andrew. His also has two adult children and three grandchildren.
